The Stanwood-Camano Community Fair Parade was a huge success. The top prize for the "Best of the Parade" entry went to the "Village Kids Theater". Scott Thomas presented the trophy to them at our lunch meeting last Wednesday.
For the second year in a row our club has successfully organized the Stanwood Camano Fair Parade. This is a big event in the community and brings a lot of positive awareness and publicity to our club. These are the types of activities that make belonging to a service club enjoyable. We should be striving for 100% club participation from our members in next years parade.
I'd like to thank all of the club members who help in the planning and on the day of the parade including Laura Byers and her staff for mailing the applications to the participants, Dawn Pratt for keeping track of the finances and especially Kristy Stephenson for her help on keeping me from jumping off the ledge. Kristy organized the applications, purchased the trophies, made arrangements for the Rotary float and helped mark the pavement the evening before the parade. Thanks Kristy!
