As chairman of the club Administration Committee, it is part of my duties to enhance communication between club members. To this end, I invite each member to contribute useful and necessary information to the Rotary Newsletter -- it is our responsibility to be sure the newsletter contains the information our members need and deserve. I encourage each committee chairman to submit periodic summaries of their committee actions. Each officer should take the responsibility of sharing information and concerns. I propose than any one who makes an announcement at the meeting should put the announcement in writing so it can be formalized and will be available through the newsletter to those who were not in attendance. In short, let's make the newsletter our means of knowing what is going on with our club.
NOW HEAR THIS!!!
Soon, our new Public Address system will be available for use during the meetings. Recall how nice it was to have such a system at the Christmas meeting last month at Maximes? Now, we can have one for all of our meetings. When Debbie Bielenberg demonstrated the system at our meeting some time ago, the overriding response of the membership was that the system made it so much easier to hear and understand what people were saying. It is no overstatement to say that the room acoustics at our meeting place are abominable. The PA system will reduce the problems we will have in hearing each other -- whether we have a hearing impairment of not!!! The system will have two microphones, one for the lecturn and the other will rove around the room. Of course, we will probably need a "mike toter" to see that each statement made will be into the mike.

HARRASSMENT POLICY INFO
The Administration Committee has been working to formalize a "Harrassment" policy for any time there is contact with young people through Rotary programs. Jim Jonson and Charlie Hall worked on this project. They located a District statement that was fully adequate, so the Board adopted the District policy at the January meeting. Copies of the policy are available from Terry or me. It is a bit lengthy, but is worthwhile reading for those members who will come into contact with young folks as part of Rotary efforts.

FUNDING APPLICATIONS ARE BEING DEVELOPED
Theresa Metzger has spearheaded the development of an application form and policy for any person who approaches our club for funding of projects, etc. This form is quite similar to the one that the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation (SCAF) uses for requests they receive. The offer has been made for SCAF to administer the application process. Feeling this kind offer deserves serious consideration and discussion, the subject of the application process was tabled at our recent Board meeting. Your ideas and input are necessary for this process to meet the needs of our outreach and funding activities.
