Welcome Aboard Chief Ganz...

Mike Ganz is the Fire Chief for Camano Island and the City of Stanwood. He is a 16 year resident of the Island and lives near the State Park with his wife, Beth. Mike and Beth have four children-Megan, Aaron, Patrick and Drew. Mike has been in the fire service for 31 years of which 29 have been as a career firefighter. Mike spent 20 years with the Bellevue Fire Department, four years as a deputy chief in Redmond and 31/2 years with Arlington before taking over the Chief's job in Camano and Stanwood. Mike has been a paramedic and graduated from the University of Washington's Paramedic Program as well as completing the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer Program. When he is not wroking, Mike and Beth enjoy hiking and sailing. Jack Meyers is Mike's sponsor.
