Lookng for Coordinators, Organizers & Hosts...
1. Coordinate the Rotary "Relay for Life " Team , Friday June 1 at 7:00 P.M. through Saturday June 2, at noon at the Stanwood high School. We have done this event for the past few years. This is a fundraiser and support event for cancer survivors as well as families and friends of cancer victims.
2. Organize the Camano Island road clean-up for our club. We have a stretch of West Camano Drive that we are responsible for. There is an annual island-wide road litter day that we normally participate in. We should also do at least one other roadside clean-up on our strict. There is a sign indicating that the Stanwood Camano Rotary Club cleans that part of the highway. It is about two miles of busy highway and gives us quite a bit of exposure.
3. We are looking for people to host Group Study Exchange members from either the Turkey or Italy Teams. If we successfully land a hosting position, we will have 6 young professionals and a team leader for five or so days. Theresa has volunteered to coordinate this, and we need volunteers that can take the GSE members to areas of local interest and/or to house a member of the team.
