Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Stanwood and Camano Island News!
Our program is 18 Years Strong! We will continue to offer Free Books for Children for years to come!

The State of Washington has made the difficult decision to remove funding for the Imagination Library from its budget. Due to the cuts, programs across the state are announcing that they will no longer be offering the program.

Stanwood-Camano's Imagination Library Will Continue!

Locally our committee is dedicated to sustaining this amazing early literacy program for our children from birth to age 5.

For our local club, this means we will continue to receive 50% funding until the end of June. After that, we will be responsible for covering 100% of the annual cost, which amounts to approximately $25,000.

While this news is certainly disappointing, we are confident that we can develop a sustainable plan to cover these costs moving forward. We will continue efforts with RoundUp events, grant writing, and other fundraising initiatives.
