SOME COMMON THREADS

JoAnn and I visited the Hanalei Bay Rotary located at the stunning Princeville Resort on Thursday Jan 18. One impression that is immediately made is that it would be difficult to find a more beautiful location for a club meeting. It was at once blessed with a gorgeous view and cursed with the distraction the view could cause. We could look out over Hanalei Bay and see Bali Hai, the rather pointed peak in the distance. The club meeting included various reports, etc. One that resonated with us was that they had been notified the hotel found it would be necessary to raise the fee for lunch. (Parenthetically, that seemed appropriate to our way of thinking because it was the most delicious lunch we had any time, any place). Well, the club was faced with paying more or relocating. Sound familiar?
