Rotary Distributes Winter Coats in Community

More than 400 new winter coats were provided by the Stanwood Camano Rotary Club to the Stanwood food bank for distribution to area families.  The Club's donation was made possible through funds raised during its annual auction event and a partnership with Operation Warm.  "Rotary members are strong supporters of the community," Jim Jonson, President of the Club, "the food bank provides essentials to those who find themselves in a tight spot and at this time of year that becomes especially important."

The Stanwood Camano Rotary Club will provide more than $40,000 for community and international projects during the next twelve months including warm coats for families in need, student scholarships, foreign exchange opportunities and the Imagination Library which provides free monthly new hardcover books to children from birth to age five within the Stanwood Camano School District's boundaries.
