Over the last ten years,3000 Stanwood children have received ALL NEW  clothes, shopping in the ALE private store in Everett. Each child is assigned a personal shopper to help pick out 3 pair of pants,3 shirts, 6 pairs of underwear, ( + bra when appropriate) 6 pairs of socks, sweatshirt, Winter coat, gloves, hat and scarf. They also each get a new pair of shoes,a book and a grooming kit with toothbrush, comb/brush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap and deodorant for 5th grade and up.
High school students are served at Fred Meyer on special shopping nights hosted by ALE  were the children are monitored, coached and  allowed to spend $100 + dollars each on new clothes paid for at the register by ALE.
300 Stanwood children are already scheduled to go shopping in the private shop in Everett this fall.
Eileen will tell you how we do it.
These are wonderful programs benefiting the children in the Stanwood/Camano school district and our community.
