Stanwood Camano Fair Parade
 
March of Freedom 
 

 

The 2011 Stanwood Camano Community Parade was held on Saturday, August 6  with the theme of MARCH OF FREEDOM: Honoring our Military Past, Present, and Future. 

 

And the winners are....

Best Auto: Stanwood Community and Senior Center

Best Float: Papa's Fire Truck

Best Drill Team: Absolute Cheer

Best Youth: Tae Kwan Do

Best Equestrian: Sedro Woolley Rodeo Queen

Most Patriotic Spirit: Papa's Fire Truck

Best of Show: Ixtapa/Dos Reales

 

The Rotary Club wishes to honor the efforts of two volunteers who made this effort possible.  Jean Mamales and Karla Jacks!

 

 

 

 Looking back.... 

 

On Wednesday, August 11,  Karla Jacks of the Stanwood Camano Rotary Club presented the 2010 Stanwood Camano Community Parade

 

"Best In Show"

Trophy to Harvest Jubilee during the weekly Rotary Club meeting.  In picture are: Jon Stevens, Tristan Klesick, Karla Jacks, Vivian Henderson, and Levi Hall. 

 

 

"Spartan Spirit" 

 

Trophy went to Stanwood Camano Youth Football.  This trophy was award Wednesday evening to Coach Gilpin, the youth football players, and coaches. 

 

 

Other parade trophy winners are: Best Float- Camano Island Model Railroad Club, Best Youth- 212 Elite Cheer, Best Drill Team-Josephine, Best Band- Stanwood Foursquare Church, and Best Auto-Camano Fire and Rescue.  

 

The Stanwood Camano Community Parade is organized by the Stanwood Camano Rotary Club.  The 2010 parade was sponsored by Pat Rimmer Tire Center, Windermere, and Thomas & Associates.  A big thank you to Pat Rimmer Tire Center for providing additional funds that enable all the school activity and sports teams to participate in this year's "Spartan Spirit" parade.
